U14 Junior Championship - Rocky Mountain Division
The best alpine athletes under 14 years old from the Rocky Mountain and Central regions compete for gold in the U14 Championships. These young-guns have qualified in multiple disciplines at many venues across the Rocky Mountains and Mid-West to earn their place in this race. From technical Slalom racing, to the multi-discipline Kombi, and the high intensity Giant Slalom, these young athletes have been tested. The Championships, however, spice things up a bit by giving the U14 athletes their first shot at a competitive speed event, the Super-G. Typically reserved for U16 and up, speed events require another level of focus and strength. To rise above the field, the competitor must master the Super-G on their first try.
