Name: Trail Reroute Project Columbine Lake Trail
Date: August 13, 2014 - August 16, 2014
Website: http://gcwg.org/
Event Description:
Come for a day or camp overnight and lend a hand in re-routing a half-mile section of the Columbine Lake Trail and restoring meadow habitat. If you plan to come for a day or part of the trip you can meet us on the trail at any time during the day. GCWG can have people bring food individually or plan for the group. People need to bring appropriate clothes (long sleeve, long pants, and work gloves). Please bring all needed camping gear and supplies if you are planning on staying overnight or multiple nights. Forest Service personnel will set a spike camp near the bathrooms on the backside of Meadow Creek Reservoir (Tue Aug. 12th- Fri. Aug 15th) and GCWG are invited and welcome to share the spike camp. If you are coming up after the main group leaves on the morning of the 13th please make sure to bring a hardhat or make arrangements for someone to bring one to the project site for you. Please register for the project with Beth Collins and Jim Magill.
