Relax & Rebalance, Acupuncture/Restorative Yoga with Darcy Miller and Shannon Stevens Sunday, October 4, 4:00-6:30 pm, $60, Must Register by Oct 1, min6, all levels welcome!! Rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit with 2.5 hours of restorative yoga and acupuncture. In this workshop, you will harness your body's natural ability to heal itself while experiencing deep relaxation and clearing energetic blockages caused by stress and anxiety. Restorative yoga calms your nervous system, allowing mind and body to deeply relax, de-stress, and release built-up tension. Acupuncture restores your energetic balance by clearing blockages created by trauma and stress. Together, these two modalities synergistically detoxify your body so you can release tension and stress, and re-balance! Everyone is welcome - previous experience with restorative yoga ?or acupuncture is not required. Please wear loose clothing and dress in layers for comfort. Do needles make you squeamish? The benefits of acupuncture are also available through expertly-placed seeds on a patient?s body. We are happy to provide this form of treatment to any participant who requests it! Darcy Allison Miller is a light-hearted, compassionate, and encouraging teacher. She creates a comfortable, friendly space where every ability and body is welcome and valued. In class, she is mindful of alignment and honors the integrity of each student?s unique practice. As a teacher, Darcy believes yoga heals and helps students re-discover deep contentment within themselves. Her intention is to help others live full, healthy lives through yoga. She has over 500 hours training in restorative, alignment-focused, and power vinyasa yoga with particular focus on anatomy and therapeutics. Shannon Stevens began her journey in alternative health care 15 years ago through the need to heal herself. Unsatisfied with the care given her in conventional western medicine, she tried acupuncture and was immediately enthused. Devotion to the Traditional Chinese Medical system given her in one of the country?s leading clinics not only put her on the road to health, but offered an insight into an alternative view of what it means to be healthy. Fueled by her passion for the alternative road to health, Shannon earned her Master?s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2012 then added an apprenticeship in sports medicine acupuncture in 2014. When working with patients, Shannon?s approach is rooted in her personal experience and driven by compassion for the unique condition in every individual.
