Name: Intro to Yoga for Men with Bill Dorigan
Date: October 8, 2014
Time: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM MDT
Event Description:

In this one hour class, certified yoga teacher Bill Dorigan introduces the basic foundations for the types of poses typically taught in yoga classes. He will show how to approach the poses safely, including modifications, if necessary, to help a brand new beginner have fun in the regular classes (and at home) and begin to open up those areas of the body that tend to get tight from our various sports and other activities.

Bill Dorigan, J.D., M.A., is a certified Anusara Yoga teacher who started practicing yoga after a long history of athletics, which included college football, martial arts, and participation in marathons and triathlons. Bill began his yoga practice in the Iyengar tradition in 1998, and his curiosity and interest in yoga philosophy led him to eventually begin the study of Anusara Yoga. Bill has completed thousands of hours of yoga training, including numerous teacher trainings and therapy trainings and continues to study regularly with Iyengar teachers and others. Bill has immersed himself in yoga philosophy, studying extensively with Dr. Douglas Brooks, Sally Kempton, Dr. Paul Muller Ortega, among other teachers. In July, 2013 Bill released a book on yoga philosophy, Finding the Midline: How Yoga Helps a Trial Lawyer Make Friends and Connect to Spirit, a book sharing the lessons of yoga as they apply to everyday life.
