Name: Grand Profile Community Presentation
Date: November 5, 2014
Time: 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM MST
Event Description:

On November 5th, the first unveiling of a comprehensive analysis of Grand County’s economic drivers and outlook will take place at a meeting open to the public. The county-wide, collaborative effort, dubbed “The Grand Profile,” has the goal to first collect, then analyze the drivers of economic development in Grand County with the hope of aligning economic development efforts on both a local and regional front.

“This is an exciting opportunity for all of us living, working, and playing in Grand County to better understand ourselves and, more importantly, make plans for our County,” said Gary Bumgarner, County Commissioner. “We know the front-end work of collecting and analyzing data will take some effort, but we have every confidence that this information will be a powerful tool for imagining and living into a bright economic future.”

The project analysts from RRC Associates, a Boulder-based research firm and RPI Consultants, a Gunnison-based research firm, who has been crunching a large amount of economic, social, and other data will lead the public meeting. They will provide a 30,000-foot perspective of the economic realities in the county as well as a context for their conclusions. This initial presentation will be followed by community-specific breakout sessions in which a more precise picture of each part of the county will be discussed.
