Whether you are a serious nordic skier and racer, an old-school tourist, or anywhere in between, the Stagecoach Classic is a unique chance to experience a trek from Devil's Thumb Ranch, through the old Idlewild Ski Area, to Hideaway Park in Winter Park. In the past, the Idlewild trail system connected to Devil's Thumb Ranch, connecting Tabernash, Fraser, and Winter Park, and is still remembered by skiers as one of the best nordic areas in Colorado. This is a rare chance to ski such a beautiful, "off the map" course. Plus, it's an exclusive opportunity as this will be the only time this winter that this trail system will be connected and groomed for skier access! A portion of the race and tour proceeds will go towards the Trout Unlimited campaign to protect and preserve the endangered Fraser River.
This is a classic-only ski event. Post-race events will include a BBQ, beer garden and live music in Hideaway Park.

Friday, January 22: In person at the Winter Park Information Center from 8am - 8pm
Saturday, January 23: Starting at 7am in the Devil's Thumb Ranch Broad Axe Barn
- 30km registration closes at 8:30am
- 15km registration closes at 9:30am
- 15km tour registration closes at 10:00am
Race registration fee, event merchandise, feed stations along the course, and food and beer in Hideaway Park. Additional Hideaway Park food tickets will be available for purchase for spectators, friends and family. Each participant will receive one free beverage from the beer garden. Additional beverages can be purchased with cash or credit card. ID required.
Packet pick-up times:
Friday, January 22 from 8am-8pm in the Winter Park Information Center
Saturday, January 23 from 7am-8:30am for the 30k race and 7am-10am for the 15k race and tour
Race Day Wax Recommendation:

- 7am: First bus from Hideaway Park to DTR
- 7-8:30am: 30k race registration
- 7-10am: 15k race and tour registration
- 8:15am: kids race
- 9am: 30k race mass start
- 10:30am: 15k race mass start
- 10:35am: 15k tour start
- 10:45am: 15k snowshoe start
- 11a-3:30pm: Headwaters After party with lunch from Rudi's Deli, beer from Odell Brewing Company and live music by Hunker Down Trio
- 1-5pm: Happy hour after party at Volario's (all participants will receive a coupon for $2 drafts)
- 1:30pm: Award ceremony and raffle
- 3:30pm: Last bus from Hideaway Park to DTR
- 4pm: Last bus from DTR to Hideaway Park
- 6pm: Downtown Winter Park Parade
- 6:30pm: Fireworks following parade

Parking and Transportation
There will be a bus shuttle between Hideaway Park and Devil's Thumb Ranch every half hour throughout the day with the first shuttle at 7am and the last dropping off at 4pm. Schedule is scheduled to change. CLICK HERE for more details.
Parking areas include Cooper Creek Square parking garage and Volario's parking lot.
Bag check will be stationed at the start of the race and tour for participants. Bags provided at registration. Bag pickup at Hideaway Park.

We will be looking for race and tour volunteers! All volunteers receive a Stagecoach Classic merchandise and entry to the after party BBQ and beer tent.
