Event Description:
Learn about a day in the life of a Mountain Patroller at Granby Ranch. Attend a morning safety meeting and then head out on the slopes to help with the morning trail checks. Throughout the day get a tour of the patrol huts and learn about the first aid equipment and transport methods ? including taking your own toboggan ride! Review the Skier and Rider Responsibility Code. Break for lunch and free skiing and then learn dispatch procedures and get a tour of a Grand County EMS ambulance (based on availability) in the afternoon. At the end of the day help with the closing and sweep of all mountain trails. Ages 8 - 17, intermediate skiing or riding ability.
