High-Note Thursdays
(every Thursday from June 20th – August 15th): Kicking off weekend music events in Winter Park on Thursdays from 6 – 8 p.m., High Note Thursdays brings a mix of salsa, country, bluegrass and acoustic styles of music to Hideaway Park.
(Dogs allowed on LEASHES only. This is a non-smoking venue.)
June 20th: Flash Mob
In 2007, The Flash Mob assembled with the goal of creating an act that combined the best of both: a synergy where rock, reggae, dancehall, hip hop and funk textures come together - creating provocative hybrid stylings that are balanced by persuasive hooks and pop sensibilities. The experiment proved itself to be a success, establishing them as one of Denver's best up and coming acts. The band released an EP in summer of 2009 titled "Common Thread," to much local acclaim. Having played main support for such national acts as Ziggy Marley, Flobots, Passafire, and most notably Rage Against the Machine at 2008 Democratic National Convention, The Flash Mob have proven themselves worthy of the big stage. With a full-length debut in the works planned for release in 2011, The Flash Mob primed and ready to elevate themselves to the next level.
